Trip to Nashville

Typically when we chose a vacation to take, we try to go somewhere we've never been. Last summer we chose to go to Nashville! I did a lot of research on what to do and see when we were there! I pretty much planned it all by myself... from the house to food to experiences. We had such a great time though so I'll definitely be taking the credit for that! I think a weekend in Nashville is plenty of time to spend there. We stayed a week because we had a 5 month old baby and we wanted to have time in between the touristy things to relax by the pool!

We actually stayed in Franklin, Tn just outside of Nashville. We were about a 25 minute drive to the strip. My whole side of the family came with us so we decided to stay in an Air BnB instead of a hotel to accommodate the amount of people. This is the house we stayed in! It was perfect having a full kitchen, multiple bedrooms, and a pool near by. Gretchen was always quick to answer any questions we had as well!

In Franklin, Tn there is a store called Philanthropy. There was just something incredibly special about this store from the moment we stepped inside. You can feel the presence of God in this store and through the people who work there. They had a prayer chapel in the center of the store to fill out prayer cards or take some if you felt led to pray for someone! What a special way to stand out from most other stores. Not to mention how adorable their clothes are! You definitely need to check out their site and/or visit their store if you are in town!

My absolute favorite thing about our trip to Nashville was seeing Carrie Underwood perform at The Grand Ole Opry! Talk about an incredible experience! The Grand Ole Opry is an absolutely beautiful theater. I would like to mention that this was the first time I had ever been to a Carrie Underwood concert and it was spectacular. I highly recommend seeing her!

We also went to see the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Wow this hotel is fantastic! I told my husband next time we come to Nashville I want to stay here! We actually got to eat dinner at the restaurant Ravello inside the Opry hotel and the food was really delicious!

We typically make a point to try out a few distilleries when we travel somewhere new, so we went to the Nashville Craft Distillery! We had such a good time learning and tasting their handcrafted spirits. We definitely bought some to bring home with us!

So if you are thinking about going on a trip to Nashville, I highly recommend going! We had such a fun time visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame and the strip in Nashville to hear all the awesome performers in every bar! There is so much to do in this city, you're pretty much guaranteed to have a good time!
