Our Favorite Games

Who doesn't love a good ole fashion game night??

We've been getting more and more into games over the last couple years. It's such a fun way to get all your friends and family together. It's also an easy way to switch up just another boring night of just sitting around watching TV. I think we've pretty much watched everything on Netflix and Youtube TV. It sorta feels like an accomplishment but part of me just feels sad for myself! How lame are we that we've watched everything on TV?? We need a hobby.

Over the last few months we've been getting together with mostly family and our neighbors due to all this fun stuff going on but we've still managed to throw a mean game night together. It doesn't require a whole lot of effort and it's been saving our sanity!

First step... friends! Or family... whoever is around you will work. You can even play most games with as little as 2 people. Me and Anth love to play with at least 4 people but last week we played just the 2 of us and had a great time! We played Scattergories and Mad Gab. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. On vacation last week was the first time I had ever played Mad Gab and honestly I loved it!

Next up is SNACKS. I can't possibly sit down to play a game without having snacks to munch on! We've been on a popcorn kick lately but just pick your favorites. Most night we'll just have chips or ice cream, but when we're hosting some friends we usually bring a variety of snacks out all at once to mix it up!

Does your family have a favorite game? I don't think my family growing up ever had any favorites except while on vacation. We always played UNO and we were ruthless with each other! We would pretty much play until we were screaming at each other, and that didn't usually end until someone was throwing cards. The word we use for this chaos is PASSIONATE.

We've been mixing it up a bit lately though. We've been playing card games, board games, and using Jack Box Games which is so fun! You play this either on your phone or on a computer. Perfect for a virtual game night and easy to play on phones if you're all together. Both ways have been so fun for us!

Here's a list of games we've been loving lately!
  • Exploding Kittens // The expansion pack with the cone of shame is a game changer! Absolutely hilarious!
  • Code Names // This is fun to play with a group of people.
  • UNO Flip // This game is on a whole other playing field. We've had a lot of fun playing this game.
  • Taboo // We can't play this without quoting every line from the movie Four Christmas while playing!
  • Mad Gab // I never can understand what I'm saying but I laugh hysterically while Anth is trying to sound them out.
  • What do you Meme? // I feel like this is just a picture version of Cards Against Humanity but still a very fun game.
